The Rotary Jaipur Limb Project UK spread its wings over RI 3210 for the first time by the solitary efforts of Rtn. PP. PHF Scaria Jose. The first camp was organised in 1996. About 1200 Physically handicapped persons attended the camp and made it a roaring success at the very start. This camp was adjudged the outstanding limb camp of this kind under Rotary District 1120. Rtn. PP. PHF Scaria Jose is still striving to organise more camps of the kind. During his recent visit to London lie had a discussion with Rtn. Collin James on this topic. PHF Scaria Jose has been extremely triumphant in channelising a lot of money from the international and national coffers of the club with the sole aim of helping the poor and file disabled. Within a short time of four years he has been able to pump crores worth of services, through various projects for serving the needy.

 

 

 

Rotary-Jaipur Limb Project, UK.

 

The Artificial limb camp was held in Changanachery in the year 1996.In this camp more than1200 persons received walking aids and artificial limbs. This was a historic project which brought credit to our sclub. The camp was organized with the help of Rotary club of Beachy Head U.K, Taunton Rotary Club, the rotary jaipur limp Project U.K. The Rotary Foundation. It may be noted that the little children at St. Andrew School Eastboune contributed money for the Project.

 

 

 

 

Artificial limb making workshop at Mercy Home special school, Kodinattumkunnu, Kerala.

 

A 2000 Sq. Ft workshop was constructed with the assistance of St. Andrews School Meads UK at Mercy Home, Kodinatturnkunnu ; a home for the physically handicapped. Every year more than 200 children benefit from this centre. All technicians working there are also handicapped. Thanks are due to Rtn John Wilton & Elizebeth Wilton.

 

 

 

 

Bus Project for Thiruhrudaya Nivas special school of mentally retarded Parel, Changanacherry, Kerala.

 

The mini-bus project was undertaken with the help of Canadian clubs. This project was implemented for the benefit of Thiruhnidavanivas special School, Parel, Changanacherry - v. Lack of conveyance was the main problem for the Mentally retarded children coming from the outskirts of the town. After the accomplishment of this project the strength of this special school attained 30% growth and the school community is extremely happy about the convenience. The Rotary club of Heritage Park, Calgary, The Wild Rose Foundation, CRCID and the Rotary Foundation supported this project.
