Rtn. PP. PHF Scaria Jose Kattoor has been a person who has achieved tremendous leaps forward in accomplishing the objectives, visions and missions of a committed Rotarian. Son of the late Jose Kattoor and Thresiamma Jose, P.P. Scaria had his schooling at Sacred Heart English Medium School and graduated from the legendary St. Berchmans' College with Commerce as specialisation. He underwent professional training at the renowned Alpha Gevart, Chennai in world class printing technology. On returning to Changanacherry after his studies he took over the chain of publishing network - Assissi Printing and Publishing House which has carved for itself an enviable niche in the printing and publishing sphere of Kerala for the last 55 years. Since the baton got passed on to him from his father he has kept the pace to remain always a frontrunner.

 

 

PHF. Scaria Jose is the busiest and the most workaholic bee of the Rotary - beehive. It has been his tireless endeavour to introduce international projects and to get maximum possible financial assistance from foreign countries whereby he has fetched tremendous popularity and acceptance for the Rotary Club among the common folk. A globtrotter with a purpose, he has visited so many countries and has attended international workshops and seminars on the recent technological advancements in printing. He was one of the few special invitees from India to the London Bookfair, 2000

Rtn. PP. PHF. Scaria Jose got into the garb of a Rotarian in 1986 and has got 18 years of service in Rotary. The number of international and national accolades that he has bagged in his adventurous life as a Rotarian is indicative of his successful involvement in the various projects activities.

 

He is married to Rtn. Sumam Scaria who belongs to Nerayath an aristocratic, ancient family in Alleppey. She was also the President of the Inner Wheel Club. Under Mrs. Scarias' leadership the Inner Wheel Club surged ahead like never before and made it to the top at the district level. Both Mrs & Mr Scaria were adjudged the most outstanding of all Presidents during their respective terms.
